Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Character Build Guide

Here's everything you need to know about building your character to take on the Dragon Lord!

Appearance

The first step to creating your own character is to decide exactly how you want them to look. This includes deciding how tall your character is, what kind of hair they have, what colour hair they have, and much more. You can customise small details such as their eyelashes or what kind of facial hair they have.

There's also a slider override option that you can pick. This removes any "natural" barriers for how your character looks, so you can make them look as unique as possible. Your character can look however you want them to, as this will not have any impact on their skills or personality.

Armour

What's a hero without their armour? You can further customise your character by choosing their armour pattern and colour. If you're not satisfied with the options you have right away, then you can unlock more patterns, colours, and armour pieces as you make your way through the story.

Personality

The personality of your character helps to shape how they react to certain parts of the adventure. Also, their personality will determine how they talk to others or how they taunt enemies. Here are the personality options we know about so far:

  • Gallant
  • Clever
  • Gruff
  • Strange

Class

Your class determines the abilities and special attack style of your character. Your primary class is the first one that you choose and this cannot be changed unless you make a new character. As you progress further in the story, you can unlock a secondary class slot to add abilities from another class type to your character.

Skills

Now, every hero needs an origin story or a dramatic backstory that makes them who they are. Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is no different, you'll need to choose the backstory of your character when you're making them. In turn, the backstory you choose will give you a starting point for building your character's stats and skills. There are six basic stats that you can meddle with:

  • Attunement: How long it takes for your action skill to cool down to use again.
  • Wisdom: The damage that your Status Effect does to enemies.
  • Dexterity: The chance of landing a Critical Hit.
  • Strength: The damage a Critical Hit inflicts on enemies.
  • Constitution: This increases your maximum health capacity/ward capacity.
  • Intelligence: This is how long your Spells take to cool down to use again.

You'll have 10 Hero Points to spend when you're building your character and you can apply them to any of the stats. However, each stat needs 10 Hero Points applied to them before you see any good results. If you give Hero Points to a stat, but it's less than 10, you might make things worse for your character.

Quick Change Stations

As you work your way through the realm, you may come to realise that you really don't like some parts of your character. This is where Quickchange Stations will come in handy. At these stations, you can change how your character looks, sounds, or their skills. The only thing you cannot change is their Primary Class. Also, if you want to add a little bit of flair to your character, you can use these stations to customise their emotes and banners.
