Leading NFT marketplace OpenSea could soon be offering support to Solana NFTs. The marketplace has recently uploaded on teaser on Twitter confirming its plan to add Solana NFTs on the platform.

Earlier, the speculations concerning OpenSea adding support for Solana went rampant when a reputed hacker and blogger Jane Manchun Wong shared screenshots suggesting that OpenSea will soon integrate Solana NFTs into its marketplace.

Known for its support of Ethereum-based NFT projects such as the Bored Apes and CryptoPunks, this could further accelerate OpenSea's userbase and solidify its position as the top place to buy NFTs.

OpenSea To Support Solana NFTs

The leaked images shared by hacker and blogger Jane Manchun Wong suggest that OpenSea might soon offer support to Solana NFTs.

They also display OpenSea supporting the Solana-friendly Phantom wallet. The images also depict Solana listed as one of the additional blockchains supported by OpenSea. At present, the NFT marketplace only supports Ethereum, Polygon, and Klatyn blockchains.

According to Wong, she came across references to Solana while reverse-engineering the OpenSea website. The reverse engineering procedure refers to a process of understanding how a website is made by looking at the source code of the following website.

In an official announcement, OpenSea took to Twitter to upload a new teaser trailer on March 29th, confirming that it will be adding support for Solana NFTs from April 2022.

OpenSea has become the leading NFT marketplace, crossing $3.5 billion in monthly NFT sales. If OpenSea officially supports Solana NFTs, it could have a further impact on the NFT marketplace growth and can help boost its trading numbers by bolstering its daily user activity.
