Cyberpunk 2077 Multiplayer Might Be Back In Development

Despite previous cancellation statements, CD Projekt Red is reportedly still working on Cyberpunk 2077's multiplayer component.

Following Update 1.3's recent launch, dataminer Tyler McVicker advised the datamining community uncovered several references in Cyberpunk 2077's executable, which cited multiplayer and expansions. Outlined in a recent YouTube video, McVicker provided a breakdown of what they've learned.

1.3 broke all the mods. Everything. It broke everything. It signifies that, on the engine level, everything has changed. I've talked with a few people that are deep into the modding scene and they have told me that fundamental building blocks of what creates the Red Engine Version 4 and Cyberpunk 2077 have been rebuilt — almost from scratch

That'll prove disheartening to existing modders, who may find their previous work is now entirely redundant, including the recently touted "Megamod".

Following Update 1.3, Cyberpunk 2077 introduced several new gameplay fixes alongside a slate of free DLC.
