Season 7 of Fortnite has finally arrived as UFOs swarm the island.
Season 6 of Fortnite saw the island go Primal, with the Zero Point sending players back in time, questions are rising as to how this will affect the future of the Battle Royale and where the story will go.
Even with leakers and teasers galore, players rarely know the full extent of what's coming in the next season. The Primal theme was a bit of a curveball and one few expected to see.
But, the Zero Point appears to have been stabilised thanks to a mysterious character, but what will happen next?
It seems like we're heading back to the present and a new presence is making its appearance - UFOs. The community is under the impression this will be a 'filler' season before the real story kicks off again towards the end of Summer.
Here's what we know about Chapter 2 Season 7 of Fortnite.

Epic Games VS Apple Could Be Heading Towards An End
Apple and Epic Games have been engaged in a long-drawn lawsuit. The lawsuit came into being when Fortnite was removed from the App Store.
The dispute arose after Epic Games bypassed the payment gateway within the App Store itself in order to skip on the excess commission that Apple was charging.
The lawsuit still awaits a verdict, however, Apple just might agree to compromise.

Chapter 2 Season 7 Storyline
Aliens have invaded Apollo Island and Doctor Slone and the IO are trying to figure out what they want.
Chapter 2, Season 7 deals with how the Island handles the Alien Invasion, as well as how the IO is responding to the threat.
By the time it ends, the Mothership will drop from the sky, but not before the face of the island is changed drastically.
Map Changes
While the map will retain the same structure it has throughout the duration of Chapter 2, there will be some changes to the map.

Battle Pass
The Season 7 Battle Pass will once again play an important part in the season and although we're unsure what it will include, we can expect plenty of skins, emotes, pickaxes, and gliders.
The new Battle Pass will contain 100 tiers of content for players to complete over the span of the season.
The premium Battle Pass will cost 950 V-Bucks, which is about £7-8.
You can also obtain the Battle Pass Bundle, which will cost 2800 V-Bucks and rewards you with access to the first 25 tiers of the Battle Pass immediately.
Gifting the Battle Pass will cost $7.59 (without tax).
Alternatively, you can use the V-Bucks you accumulated throughout Season 6 to purchase the new pass for free.
To go from Level 1 to Level 100 without buying ANY tiers you'll need to gain roughly 7,500,000 XP total.
If you're not interested in spending money, you can complete the free battle pass; although it will come with considerably fewer rewards.
Alternatively, you can sign up to Fortnite Crew to get the pass for free.
Skins
Season 7's skins tend to be focused on their theme.
Here are some of the confirmed skins.
Theme
The theme is called 'Invasion', a UFO theme in Season 7.
A lot of evidence is suggesting the story is heading that way, particularly with the 'Foreshadowing Quests'.
Here's a look at all past themes:
- Season 1: No Theme
- Season 2: Medieval
- Season 3: Space
- Season 4: Super Heroes
- Season 5: Worlds Collide
- Season 6: Halloween
- Season 7: Winter
- Season 8: Pirates
- Season 9: Future
- Season X: Time
- CH2S1: Doppelgangers
- CH2S2: The Agency
- CH2S3: Water/Flood
- CH2S4: Marvel Comics
- CH2S5: Hunters
- CH2S6: Primal
We're still expecting a DC theme season at some point in the future, as there are so many DC collaborations that pop up throughout the various seasons.
With Summer coming up, we may see a more Summer-centric theme.
Depending on how the story progresses, we should theoretically return to a present timeline.
With Season 9 and Season X focusing on 'Future' and 'Time' we doubt we will be propelled well into the future.
UFOs
According to @HYPEX, here's what to expect from the aliens:
- When they abduct you they restore your Health & Shield to 100
- They have a max capacity of 20 players
- They can mass abduct a squad/enemies
- They select abductees before abducting them
- They appear from the first zone
- Takes 3 seconds to select/warn abductees
- Takes 2 seconds to abduct
- Only 1 spawns then they increase to 5 (I think)
- They appear 15 seconds after every storm
- Their chances of spawning (in zones order): 10%, 20%, 40%, 80%, 100%
- UFOs will start to appear at the end of this season (NOT IN COMPETITVE) and they will randomly abduct players, fully heal them and throw them somewhere else
Wildlife
Players can now encounter wildlife in the new season including:
We expect this mechanic to remain.
But it's reported that a kangaroo, octopus, and platypus will be added - potentially replacing certain wildlife.

- Common Assault Rifle
- Common Submachine Gun
- Common Tactical Shotgun
- Common Pump Shotgun
Crafting
Crafting remains a major mechanic in Chapter 2, Season 7, with players able to upgrade weapons with Nuts and Bolts, and Alien Nanites.
Upgrade tables are also back, allowing players to upgrade the rarity of their weapons with Gold Bars.
