The current Modern Warfare 2 weapon arsenal contains a wide variety of guns and armaments that are all capable of making an impact during a multiplayer match. Whether it’s a powerful mid-range assault rifle or a pair of lethal samurai swords, there’s something for everyone.
As the start of Season 4 Reloaded approaches, leaks and rumours containing potential intel on future content plans continue to appear. In recent weeks, one has seemingly revealed the daily that rewards are set to arrive in multiplayer. Meanwhile, a game-breaking audio glitch has been disrupting Shipment matches, much to the annoyance of players.
The latest leak to emerge claims to reveal the weapons that will arrive in Season 5, which is expected to be the final season for Infinity Ward’s latest release.
Modern Warfare 2 Season 5 weapon leak
Since the apparent leak, which originally surfaced a few months ago and claims that “Season 5 will have the APC9, WA-2000, and another AR (probably the Malyuk)”, resurfaced recently, user Shaka_Walls has taken to Reddit to gather the thoughts and opinions of their fellow players on it.
Although, if the information is correct, the next season would contain new weaponry across the game's most popular categories, the fan isn’t best pleased, saying: “It seems like people would be mad that we’re getting zero new LMGs, but everyone is silent on the subject.”
While the silence surrounding the lack of LMGs is noticeable, another community member has revealed why they’re keeping their expectations in check, responding: “Nobody is talking about it because it’s still a rumour. Until official confirmation, I just ignore them.”
Season 5 is still a while away so there’s every chance the game's developers haven't decided on the content arriving in one of the final updates before all focus switches to the launch of the heavily-rumoured Modern Warfare 3.
It’s also worth taking all leaks with a pinch of salt until Activision publishes more information on what Season 5 has in store.
