Jean is obtainable by spending wishes in the Wanderlust Invocation standard Banner. Good luck getting her!

She may feature as a boosted drop in an upcoming rerun, but there is no hint of this for now.

What Are the Best Jean Builds?

On the battlefield, she’s one of the best Anemo DPS units, which is fitting given her background. Her capacity to heal herself and others paired with her inherent potential as a DPS unit make Jean one of the best Anemo units in the entire game. The building setups you want to assemble for her will cover different approaches to her capabilities.

Below are two of the best Jean builds right now. You can keep reading to find out the hows and whys of these particular Jean builds, but if you've used her before, you'll quickly understand the thought process behind her best weapon and artifact choices.

Jean Anemo Sub DPS Build

The idea behind this build is to make Jean a great Sub DPS, which at the same time will help her to be a better Healer and capable of triggering great Swirl Reactions. Since Jean's Elemental Burst healing values scale with her Attack, The Flute is the best option by far, given the inherent Attack stat. However, if you’re struggling at getting that weapon, the Favonius Sword goes really well too.

On the artifact side, Viridescent Venerer and its Anemo damage boost make it the best option, though it can also be tricky to get your hands on that set, so a 2-2 combo of Gladiator's Finale and The Exile will serve as a more affordable set.

Jean Physical DPS Build

The Aquila Favonia sword brings an excellent advantage in the form of Falcon’s Defiance, which will give you more sustain as HP Regeneration and buffed damage values, making it the best option. However, if you need an alternative to it, our recommendation would be Prototype Rancour.

Since we need to focus on more raw power than elemental abilities, a 2-2 mixed set of Pale Flame and Bloodstained Chivalry will be the best choice, or you can rely on a full set of either of those if you feel so inclined.

What Are the Best Team Comps for Jean?

Jean is an Anemo Sub DPS unit that plays extremely well either alone or with others but shines especially well if you can trigger as many Swirl reactions as possible. For this, companions that trigger reactions such as Tartaglia or Bennett are recommended, and also whoever can give her some extra juice, like Albedo or Zhongli.

Weapons like The Flute that boost Attack are the only real good option for Jean as an Anemo Sub DPS. You can also find equally good alternatives in the form of the Aquila Favonia, Favonius Sword, and Skyward Blade. Last but not least, if you’re looking for a more affordable option or relying on the Physical DPS build, you can craft the Prototype Rancour if you still don’t have any of the former.

Jean's Elemental Skill is a great crowd control tool, but other than that, it doesn't have a massive offensive potential. It's her Elemental Burst that's really useful since it heals and also generates a Swirl AoE that damages enemies over time.
