Genshin Impact 5.1 Release Date

There is no official announcement on when Genshin Impact 5.1 will be released.

However, based on the normal update cycle of Genshin Impact we predict that Genshin Impact 5.1 will arrive on October 9.

This is in line with the Future Versions and Events post notice of HoYoLAB wherein version updates are expected to come out every six weeks on a Wednesday.

Genshin Impact 5.1 Livestream

There's no firm date for the Genshin Impact 5.1 livestream, but like the updates themselves, these livestreams follow a pattern. Livestreams usually occur two weeks before the update goes out.

That means players can expect the Genshin Impact 5.1 livestream on Thursday September 26 or Friday September 27, depending on where in the world they are.

Genshin Impact 5.1 Banners and New Genshin Impact Character

A newcomer to Genshin Impact 5.1 is Xilonen. She's a 5-Star Geo character who wields a sword. Making her first appearance during the Ignition Teaser: A Name Forged in Flame, her character is known for the skill of weapon forging.

In terms of her playing style, Xilonen is expected to be a fitting support due to her abilities. She has different buffs based on the elements of her teammates. Some examples include an increased power stat for Xilonen's attack when casting her Elemental Skill and Burst.

Besides Xilonen, there are also some hinted characters that will make a rerun for this banner as per notable leaker, Hakush.in. This includes Chiori, another 5-Star Geo Sword. There's also Nahida, 5-Star Dendro Catalyst, and Hu Tao who is a 5-Star Pyro Polearm.

While it seems that the Genshin Impact Update 5.1 banners are stacked, this information hasn't been fully confirmed yet by miHoYo. So, it's possible this lineup could still change.

Other Features

One of the highlights in this update is the introduction of new locations within Natlan, with some heavily corrupted by the Abyss. This could lead players into a deeper exploration of the Traveler's lore within the game.

Similarly, another major update to be added is related to the Spiral Abyss. Notable Genshin Impact leaker, HomDGCat posted on their X account an increase of Floor 12 enemies' HP.

From the HP multiplier being 350%, it will now be increased to 375%. This is a major thing to watch out for, especially for players doing a run for Genshin endgame content.

Moreover, a new boss may be introduced into the Genshin Impact Update 5.1, called the Secret Source Automation: Configuration Device. This was also hinted at by HomDGCat on a Reddit post.

While the boss has a 60% RES against any kind of element, it can be reduced by using the NIghtsoul mechanic seen among Natlan characters such as Xilonen, Mualani, Kachina, Kinich, and Raiden Shogun.
