After defeating the big boss in each galaxy, Astro will save a bot hailing from one of Sony’s videogame franchises.

How to Unlock God of War's Leviathan Axe
After defeating the octopus boss, Wako Tako, you save the iconic demigods, Kratos and Atreus. After departing the boss area, you will be transported to the Bot of War level.
This special level is one of Astro Bot’s unique gimmicks. This makes every galaxy feel rewarding after beating the big boss. In the first map, the Gorilla Nebula, you can unlock the Time Net and capture monkeys on the loose.
The Leviathan Axe can be found in the next galaxy after beating the boss in the Tentacle System.
You can unlock the Leviathan Axe in this area after seeing Kratos and Atreus behind a massive Nordic gate. Kratos will lend you his trusty axe, encouraging you to clear the level and unleash an icy rampage on enemies.
Using the axe is simple as it shares the same gameplay as the original God Of War game. Pressing the right or left trigger lets you throw it at great distances. Pressing any trigger again will return Faye’s axe to you.
This powerful weapon can freeze foes upon contact, perfect for stopping them in their tracks. It is also used for puzzles similar to the original game. Freezing water or stopping mechanical contraptions will buy you enough time to cross.
Bot Of War is not a long stage, as most of the special-themed levels don’t particularly overstay their welcome.
There are many things to enjoy in this level despite its short length. You can unlock familiar faces from the God of War franchise as bots, namely Freya, Thrud, Mimir, and even the Dwarven Smiths. Additionally, you can use the axe to destroy Odin’s pesky ravens hiding in tricky corners.
Leviathan Axe's History
The Leviathan Axe is Kratos’ signature weapon in the beloved God of War series. It is crafted by the giants and once wielded by Faye, Kratos' late wife. After her passing, she bestowed this divine relic on the series’ main protagonist, replacing his classic Blades of Chaos.
This deadly weapon balances speed and strength, capable of easily taking down powerful enemies or a swarm of Draugrs. Throughout the game, Kratos uses his Axe to take down ferocious enemies of the Norse Pantheon, even rivaling Thor’s Mjolnir in their epic battle.
