As you may know, besides the main missions, the game offers side quests that fans can tackle. The Chen Loong quest is one of these, and upon completion, players can earn valuable rewards.
How To Complete Chen Loong Quest
You should be in Chapter 3 to start the Chen Loong mission. Next, travel to Bitter Lake - North Shore of the Bitter Lake Keeper's Shrine. After following the coastal road for a while, you will encounter a dragon-like creature named Chen Loong.
To progress in the quest, you’ll need to defeat Chen Loong. Although this creature flies and attacks with lightning, it’s old and fairly weak, making it not too difficult to overcome.
After defeating Chen Loong, a cutscene will trigger a conversation with him. He will lament about his old age and how he is no longer what he used to be. Chen Loong will then tell you that the resurrection pills from Xu Dog, whom you met in Chapter 2, could save him.
For those unfamiliar, Xu Dog is a human-dog creature who specializes in medical drugs. To help Chen Loong, you must visit Xu Dog and obtain the resurrection pills that will heal him.
Travel to the Crouching Tiger Temple - Cellar Keeper's Shrine location to find Xu Dog. Once you find him, select the talk option and continue the conversation until he gives you a specially made medicine called Bone Strengthening Pellet.
Now, return to Chen Loong and give him the Bone Strengthening Pellet. In gratitude, he’ll reward you with the Ruyi Scroll. This will unlock Zodiac Village, a secret and abandoned location in the game.
In this village, you will see and interact with friendly merchants such as Chen Loong, Xu Dog, and Shen Monkey. It is also easily reached and will be added to your travel options.
