It's time to solve the mysteries of the Black Myth: Wukong Third Prince quest. With this guide, you will learn how to start the mission and the steps to complete it successfully.
In this mission, you must help a Pagoda Realm prisoner named Third Prince free the souls of his former captains. While doing this, you'll have to fight multiple challenging bosses. Luckily, that's where our guide comes in.
How To Complete Third Prince Quest
When you try to talk to the prisoner named Third Prince in one of the cells in the Lower Pagoda in the Pagoda Realm, you will notice that all the cells are protected by purple locks, which cannot be removed by any means. To unlock them, you must first complete the Purple Prison Cells mission and defeat the boss named Captain Lotus-Vision.
After defeating Lotus-Vision, all the purple locks in the prison will disappear, allowing you to enter all the cells, including the Third Prince's. Once you've done this, follow the edge of the cliff in the Lower Pagoda and enter the fourth prison cell. You will find the Third Prince there and need to interact with him to start the quest.
Once you're done speaking with him, your first step will be to kill Captain Wise-Voice. You can find him in the cave just across from Mani Wheel Keeper's Shrine. Attacking the head area will allow you to kill him faster and easier. Since he is not a powerful boss, you can defeat him in a few minutes and release his soul.
Go to the Longevity Road Keeper's Shrine in the Valley of Ecstasy. After heading down the main path across the Shrine for a few seconds, enter the first left opening and continue until you find Void-Illusion's corpse. Since he is already dead, all you need to do is interact with his corpse to obtain his soul.
For the final step, proceed along the main path just behind the Longevity Road Keeper's Shrine until you reach a large building. Inside, you will find the final boss, Captain Kalpa-Wave, whose soul you must collect.
The most dangerous move of this boss is to spray blood. You should avoid the blood pools he creates, or you will quickly run out of health. Also, you must constantly move around and take advantage of his vulnerable moments.
Once you're done, return to the Third Prince's cell and interact with him. He will reward you with the Chubai Spearhead for completing the quest.
