What Are Wormys & Where Can You Find Them?
As their name suggests, Wormys look worm-like but are not small like worms. You encounter them in the Wormy Passage level of the Tentacle System in Astro Bot. Their tendency to cluster makes them somewhat tricky to deal with. You may encounter them in situations where they might catch you off guard by surfacing from the ground.
To deal with them, you will need to collect a specific item in this level.
After getting off your Dual Speeder, retrieve the frog boxing gloves from the chest the meerkat bots are passing around. Head straight ahead, and you will immediately run into a Wormy. Remove the Wormy from the ground, then break through the golden door blocking your way. Head straight ahead until you find a platform held up by a large gemstone. This is where you will encounter the two Wormys you need to deal with at the same time.
How to defeat two Wormys in Astro Bot
To defeat both Wormys, you need to get close enough to hit them simultaneously. Move to the left corner of the incline where the glowing mushrooms are, and extend both gloves. Pull both as far as you can go, then press L2 and R2 at the same time.
Pulling back on one too soon will only kill one Wormy. In that case, you can restart the level or fall off the platform to respawn. Fortunately, if you slip up, the two Wormys are close to the start, so the walk back is relatively short. Once you take down both Wormys, you should pop the Double Dug-In trophy.
