In Black Myth: Wukong, players can use different game mechanics to boost their character’s statistics. These base stats can work out for you during the beginning of the game, but as the game progresses, you’ll need to upgrade your equipment to survive. Using the help of these newly acquired boosts, you can take on all and every enemy.
Mind Cores are rare items in Black Myth: Wukong. While Respec helps you become a powerful warrior, Mind Cores are extremely useful items that boost your stats significantly. These Cores can also be respeced anytime to become ever mightier.
Finding these Mind Cores is a hard process requiring a lot of effort. Players new to the game may find it very hard to understand. Luckily, this guide helps you learn exactly just that.
How to Get Mind Cores?
Mind Cores are hard to come across due to their rarity and can’t be used until the game's Second Chapter. They provide players with significant buffs, helping them progress through the game’s harsh environment. Here’s how you can get them:
Defeating Bosses
In Black Myth: Wukong, you’ll come across several deadly, unforgiving, and violent enemies. There are more than 80 different bosses to defeat. By eliminating these enemies, they’ll leave behind their spirits and Mind Cores (sometimes). You can pick them up and use them by interacting with the bodies.
There is no guarantee that all enemies will drop Mind Cores, but Major Bosses from various chapters will drop them every time.
Shrine Stores
There are many Shrine Stores across the map. These stores also sell Mind Cores but are limited in stock and vary from chapter to chapter. Visit a store and purchase Mind Cores according to your needs.
Mind Cores can also be found in random chests spread across the map.
Crafting Medicine
You can also use Mind Cores as currency to craft medicine. Go to Xu Dog (Near the Yellow Ridge Cellar) and interact with him. An icon will appear near the Shrine where he is in the closest vicinity. Speaking to him, he will open a menu, choose the “Make Medicines” option, and then select “Celestial Medicines.” You can purchase these using Mind Cores to get that extra boost.
You’ll need to complete a few quests before accessing Xu Dog’s upgrades.
Mind Cores Respec
If you want to Respec your Mind Cores, here is what you’ll need to do:
- Interact with Xu Dog.
- Select ‘Remake Celestial Medicines”.
- Xu Dog will refund your recent purchases.
- Use your newly returned Mind Cores as you want to.
