Bounties in Metaphor: ReFantazio are special missions where players hunt down powerful enemies or monsters.

Completing these challenges rewards players with valuable items like in-game currency, rare items, and stat boosts. This article breaks down how to beat every bounty and make the most of your gaming experience.

How To Beat All Bounties in Metaphor: ReFantazio

Bounties in Metaphor: ReFantazio are some of the most challenging tasks players can undertake.

These hunts pit you against powerful monsters located in various regions. Unlocking these bounties requires progress through the main storyline and accessing specific locations via Recruitment Centers in towns.

Here’s how you can take down each bounty:

Maneater Manjula – Tradia Desert

This bounty becomes available early in the game, right after you clear the Grand Trad Cathedral dungeon.

Manjula is found in the Tradia Desert, but before encountering the boss, you must defeat a group of wild dogs roaming the area.

Manjula appears after you eliminate these marked enemies. This boss is weak to Ice but immune to Fire, meaning fire-based attacks will waste your turns. Manjula also deals piercing damage, so having a healer in your party is essential.

Equip your protagonist with Ice abilities from the Mage archetype to exploit this weakness, and ensure other members stay defensive while using physical attacks.

Healing in battle is essential because Manjula’s critical strikes can quickly threaten low-level characters. Rewards include 10,000 reeve and a Courage boost, along with useful items like the Rusted Weapon and Bone Helm.

Goborn King – Imp’s Den

The Goborn King becomes available shortly after reaching Martira.

This boss can enter a frenzy if you eliminate all of his minions, which increases his attack power and makes him more dangerous. To avoid this, take out only three of its grunts and leave one alive to prevent the king from buffing himself.

The ideal minion to keep alive is one with weaker attacks, such as the sword-wielding grunt. Using a Gunner or Warrior archetype with physical damage is recommended since the Goborn King reacts aggressively to magic-focused characters.

Instead, bring along characters with piercing attacks and crowd control abilities like Sleep to disable the king’s allies temporarily. After defeating him, you’ll earn 16,000 reeve, a Courage boost.

Alpha Rockworm Valmo – Maneater’s Grotto

This battle can spiral out of control unless you defeat both Alpha Rockworms at the same time.

If only one is defeated, the surviving worm will summon a replacement, creating an endless loop. To avoid this, lower both worms' health to near zero before executing the final blow.

Ice magic works exceptionally well in this fight, so having two characters with Ice-based skills or scrolls will help manage both enemies at the same time. These enemies can also inflict burn status with their attacks, so keep curative items on hand to cleanse status effects.

A healer with multi-target spells will help sustain your party through the fight’s duration. Be prepared for a prolonged battle, as Valmo resists most physical attacks. Defeating Valmo rewards you with 20,000 reeve and a Courage boost.

Fatolich – Tomb of Lament

This boss becomes available once you reach Port Brilehaven.

Fatolich complicates the fight by summoning a Chimera that heals it. If left unchecked, it will prolong the battle by restoring Fatolich's HP while also dealing damage to your party.

The Chimera is weak to physical attacks and wind-based magic, making it vulnerable to archetypes like Knights or Warriors for melee strikes and Mages with wind spells.

Assign at least one party member to focus solely on the Chimera from the start of the battle. After the Chimera is down, concentrate your strongest Light magic on Fatolich.

Be prepared for Fatolich to cast Soul Cry, which increases its damage, and use debuffs to reduce the boss’s strength. Guard during its charged attacks to minimize incoming damage.

Successfully defeating Fatolich yields 35,000 reeve, a Courage boost, and opens additional story-related opportunities.

Psyocropos – Scoundrel’s Hold

This bounty becomes available after reaching Virgo Island.

Psyocropos is accompanied by several Goborn mages, who should not all be defeated at once, as doing so will cause the boss to enter an enraged state. The best approach is to disable the minions with status effects, such as Forget or Sleep while focusing your attacks on Psyocropos.

It is weak to both wind and piercing damage, so bringing a Gunner or Knight archetype is highly effective. Make sure to have healing abilities prepared since Psyocropos can deal significant damage to the entire party with its strike attacks.

Having a healer with party-wide recovery abilities will mitigate the damage caused by its powerful strike attacks. Rewards for this bounty include 60,000 reeve and a Courage increase.

Icebeast Chimenzahn – Everfrost Forest

This bounty involves summoning the Icebeast by defeating four ice worms in the forest.

The Icebeast comes with a soldier companion who shields it from magic and sacrifices himself to fully heal the beast when it’s near death. Your first task is to eliminate the healer using strike-based attacks, then use your best Fire attacks to take down Icebeast.

Watch out for the beast’s almighty and ice magic, which can damage the entire party. Keeping multi-target healing spells and buffs ready will make the fight much more manageable. Defeating Chimenzahn rewards you with 80,000 reeve, rare items, and a Courage boost.

Ordemos – Abandoned Path

This bounty unlocks late in the game and involves taking down Ordemos, who is resistant to physical and electric attacks but vulnerable to Dark magic.

Buff your team’s defenses and debuff Ordemos to reduce the impact of its war cry, which lowers your team’s attack and defense. When Ordemos charges for a powerful attack, have your entire party guard to mitigate damage.

Carefully manage your resources and focus on Dark magic to chip away at the boss’ health. The reward for completing this bounty is 75,000 reeve, a Courage boost, and essential gear for the final stretch of the game.

Kokamordos – Manor of the Ascendant

Kokamordos, a bird-like boss, relies on one-hit-kill attacks and powerful Dark magic.

It becomes available during the game’s final act. Your strategy should focus on buffing your party’s defense with skills like Marakukaja to prevent its pecking attack from instantly killing your party members.

Use a combination of Ice and Pierce attacks to exploit its weaknesses. Agility buffs will also help you avoid its one-hit-kill attacks. Use healing spells frequently and remove any debuffs the boss applies to your party.

The fight will reward you with 105,000 reeve, a Courage boost, and valuable equipment.

Bandit Chief Cistus – Disgraced Ruins

This multi-phase fight involves both the Bandit Chief and a follow-up boss.

The first phase pits you against the chief and his bandit allies, who are vulnerable to distractions from Merchant abilities. Use these skills to cause the enemies to skip their turns.

The boss is weak to Light magic, which can be exploited by Healers or Clerics in your party. After defeating Cistus, a second boss appears, which is resistant to most elements except Strike attacks.

Swap in a Berserker or similar archetype to deal with this final phase efficiently. Keep status-clearing items ready, as the enemies inflict ailments like Enrage that can disrupt your strategy.

Rewards for this bounty include 115,000 reeve, rare equipment, and a significant Courage boost.

To succeed in bounty hunts, you must adapt your party composition to fit each encounter. Bring a mix of archetypes that cover multiple damage types, and always have healing abilities ready.

Items that remove status effects like poison or confusion are invaluable. Pay attention to enemy mechanics since knowing when to guard or buff your team can really make or break your success.
