The Trick or Treat segment in Silent Hill 2 Remake is a reappearance of the iconic quiz that originally debuted in the 2001 game. The segment feels more unsettling than ever, yet the thrill is undeniable.
James unexpectedly finds himself part of a twisted, game-show-like experience. This article explains how to get through the quiz and provides all the answers you need to unlock rewards.
All Trick-or-Treat Answers
The quiz begins when you enter the hospital’s elevator after solving a prior puzzle involving the chained box and the Lady of the Door mural.
This puzzle is framed as a radio quiz while James rides the elevator. During this time, he answers three questions about Silent Hill's lore.
You cannot input your answers to the quiz right off the bat. Make sure to take mental note of the answers since there’s no prompt for James to write them down.
- Question 1: How many people died in the plague that struck Silent Hill in the early 1800s?
- Answer: 67. (2nd option) This is based on a statue you might have seen in Rosewater Park commemorating the victims.
- Question 2: Which road leads to the lumberyard and cemetery when you follow Sanders Street?
- Answer: Wiltse Road (3rd option). If you checked your map earlier, you would have seen Wiltse Road leading out of town towards the cemetery.
- Question 3: Who was Billy Locane’s sister, murdered alongside him?
- Answer: Miriam (1st option). This can be uncovered by reading a newspaper clipping found in the Wood Side Apartments that references the tragic event.
After completing the quiz, continue progressing through Brookhaven Hospital. Eventually, when you regain access to the first floor (1F), head to the Pharmacy.
Inside this room, you will find the Trick or Treat Decorative Box. This box is where you will input the answers to the quiz. The box has three rows, each representing one of the quiz questions.
You will need to input the correct answers as follows:
- First row: 2 (for the answer 67, the second option)
- Second row: 3 (for the answer Wiltse Road, the third option)
- Third row: 1 (for the answer Miriam, the first option)
Input the code 2-3-1 into the box to unlock it.
Successfully entering the code will open the box and unlock a reward in the hospital pharmacy. While not game-breaking, this reward includes useful items such as shotgun shells and health syringes.
If you input the wrong code, there are consequences. Instead of getting rewards, James will take damage, just as the radio announcer warned earlier.
Worse yet, you will be locked out from attempting again, so it’s best to save your game before entering the answers.
