Where to Find All Three Coins in Woods Side Apartments
The Coin Puzzle is a brain-teasing challenge involving solving riddles and placing three coins correctly to unlock a cabinet.
To complete the puzzle, you need to find the Man, Woman, and Snake coins scattered across the apartments before arranging them based on the riddles.
The Man Coin is hidden in a safe in Apartment 206, which can be accessed by first using a Golden Apple Handle. You’ll find the handle in Apartment 208, where you can interact with a cupboard.
Push the cupboard aside, and it will reveal a peephole that looks into Apartment 206, where the safe is located. Inside 206, you’ll need to solve a combination-safe puzzle.
The combination changes depending on the difficulty level you’re playing, but these codes usually work.

Once you open the safe, you’ll obtain the Man Coin and a Steel Key for another part of the apartment.
On the other hand, the Woman Coin is stuck inside a trash chute you encounter in the apartments. You can’t reach it directly but can see it when you look down the chute.
To get it out, you need to find Canned Juice first. This item is in a crawlspace on the third floor (3F), specifically Apartment 312. This leads to a laundry room.
Once you have the juice, throw it down the trash chute to dislodge the coin, which will drop to the courtyard below. You can retrieve the coin from the courtyard near the lobby.
The Snake Coin is located in the pool area, accessible after meeting Eddie in Apartment 116. After the cutscene, jump through the window into the pool area outside. In the pool, you’ll face several Lying Figure enemies.
You can take them on or skip the fight to save on resources. To collect the coin, head towards the red baby stroller in the middle of the pool and interact with it. This will give you the Snake Coin.
How To Solve Coin Puzzle For Wood Side Apartments
Now that you have all three coins go to the Reception Room on the first floor.
Find the puzzle box in the Reception Room with five slots and place the three coins correctly to unlock the box.
The game gives you a series of riddles that guide you through positioning and flipping the coins. Each coin has two sides with different images, which is essential to solving the puzzle.

First Riddle:
“Three bright coins in the five holes be,
first sits the Maiden underneath the tree.

- Place the Man Coin in the far-left slot
- Woman Coin goes in the middle slot
- Snake Coin goes in the far-right slot (flip it first to show the sunflower side).
After correctly positioning the coins for the first riddle, leave them as they are for the next riddle. The game’s riddles are designed so that each clue directly relates to the current position of the coins.
The adjustments required for subsequent riddles are minimal, such as flipping a coin to show a different side or shifting a coin one space over. Avoid resetting or rearranging the coins unnecessarily.
Second Riddle:
“The man doth approach, his Blade now revealed,
his face disappears behind shining steel.
Away from the man doth the Maiden flee,
towards the Flower, away from the tree.”
- Flip the Man Coin to reveal the sword and move it one slot to the right.
- Move the Woman Coin one slot to the right, towards the flower.
- Keep the Snake Coin in the far-right slot.
Third Riddle:
“Where once grew a Flower, a venomous glee,
where once was a Maiden, but a stone doth be.
And over her Grave the Man doth remain,
his blade never met the vile Serpent's vein.”
- Flip the Snake Coin to show the snake side and leave it in the far-right slot.
- Flip the Woman Coin to show the gravestone side and leave it in the same position.
- Flip the Man Coin back to the man side and place it in the middle slot.
Final Riddle:
“The Beast who its teeth in her flesh doth bore,
He who has failed, She who is no more.
Now unto you falls a grievous chore,
who carries the blame for what fate had in store?”
For the last riddle, you must decide which coin represents the culprit.
- Place the Snake Coin in the top slot to complete the puzzle and unlock the cabinet.
After solving the puzzle, the cabinet opens, and you receive the key to Apartment 201. This puzzle may differ slightly based on the difficulty you selected, but this method works for most versions.
