All bosses in Super Mario Bros. Wonder
In a nutshell, you'll encounter a total of approximately five bosses in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. While some of these bosses are returning characters, a few new additions will spice up the adventure.
- Bowser
- Cosmic Mario
- Leaping Smackerel
- King Boo
- Stone Spike
Some of these bosses will make repeat appearances in different levels, each time with unique settings and varying levels of difficulty.
Bowser
The first boss on our list is Bowser, a returning character who also serves as the main antagonist in Super Mario Bros. Wonder. It's no surprise to see Bowser making a comeback, given his iconic status as the most memorable villain in the Mario series.
Many players may recall their first encounter with Bowser during the final castle fight in the original 1985 Super Mario Bros. game while attempting to rescue Princess Peach.
This time around, you'll face Bowser and his variants on multiple occasions as you progress through the game. Without spoiling the fight plot, some of these bosses include:
- Bowser Jr. - The mischievous son of boss Bowser, you'll have the opportunity to face him a total of four times, with these encounters taking place at different stages as the level varies.
- Robot Bowser - As the name suggests, Robot Bowser is a robot version of Bowser, but big and immobile. This encounter takes place during the Flupp-Puff Peaks Flying Battle Ship segment of the game.
- Golden Bowser Statue - This is a massive statue that poses a significant threat and will crush you if you fail to escape or make contact with it. This encounter will take place during the Secret of Shova Mansion.
- Castle Bowser - In the final stages of your adventure in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, you'll come across Castle Bowser, who acts as the last boss battle. Defeat him and finish the game.
Leaping Smackerel
Once you've successfully defeated Bowser Jr., you'll be up against your other underwater obstacle, Leaping Smackerel, a colossal fish boss, living in the Petal Isles of Super Mario Bros. Wonder. His sharp biting attack can be hard to avoid.
King Boo
Yet another familiar face is making a return, this time not from the main Mario series, but as the main boss from Spinoff Luigi's Mansion. He is dressed in charming, round, ghostly attire, golden crown atop his head that adds to their irresistibly captivating and adorable appearance.
However, don't let their charm distract you, for a timer will be ticking, and you must make a swift escape from his domain, known as the Light Switch Mansion.
Stone Spike
Dodge and jump – these are the two actions Stone Spike constantly demands from you during combat. You'll come face to face with him while riding the waves through the magma tube. Stone Spike is quite an interesting opponent, though undeniably annoying, blames to its relentless barrage of fireball attacks. However, the thrill it offers with its non-stop action is simply unmatched.
