Do you want to know more about the Wuthering Waves battle pass? If you’re curious about what’s included in the Pioneer Podcast or just looking to learn how it works, this guide has got you covered. We’ll be showing you how to earn rewards from the battle pass and what you’ll be getting.

Battle passes are common in games these days, especially among free-to-play titles. In Wuthering Waves, the battle pass is referred to as the Pioneer Podcast, and it goes a long way in helping you improve your Wuthering Waves characters. Speaking of improving, why not check out all the best characters in our Wuthering Waves tier list?

Wuthering Waves Battle Pass – Pioneer Podcast Explained

The Wuthering Waves battle pass, called the Pioneer Podcast, gives you the opportunity to earn in-game rewards by completing daily, weekly, and event tasks to earn Podcast EXP. There is a free and upgraded paid version of the pass, each with a maximum of 70 tiers to earn.

You normally won’t have to go out of your way to complete these tasks since you’ll get through them naturally by progressing through the game, which is great news considering each battle pass only lasts until the end of a version update. Earn enough Podcast EXP to raise your battle pass level and you’ll be able to claim another prize.

As is the case with other battle passes, the Pioneer Podcast has a paid version that offers more rewards. The basic version, which is called the Public Channel, is free and available to all players who have reached Union Level 9. The Insider Channel, or the premium version of the Wuthering Waves battle pass, can be unlocked by purchasing it for $10.

Battle pass rewards are refreshed routinely at the end of each version update, so be sure to grab as many free items as you can before the next reset rolls around.

By purchasing the Connoisseur Channel for $20, players will gain access to the Insider Channel rewards while immediately gaining 10 levels on the reward track. Unlocking the Insider Channel will also give players access to a 4-star weapon selector, allowing them to obtain a battle pass exclusive 4-star weapon of their choice.

Here’s a list of the weapons you can obtain from the Pioneer Podcast:

  1. Autumntrace (Broadblade)
  2. Augment (Rectifier)
  3. Stonard (Gauntlet)
  4. Thunderbolt (Pistol)
  5. Lumingloss (Sword)

As you can see, you’ll have one of each weapon type to choose from if you decide to unlock the premium battle pass in Wuthering Waves.

Which Weapon Should You Choose in the Wuthering Waves Battle Pass?

The best weapon to pick up from the Wuthering Waves battle pass will depend on the status of your account, the characters you own, and the builds you're using. For example, if you plan on using a Resonator that wields a Broadblade, Autumntrace is worth considering.

That being said, Augment, Autumntrace, and Stonard generally offer better value due to having Crit Rate on them. The lack of Crit stats on both Thunderbolt and Lumingloss means that there are better alternatives in the game that you can get without spending any money.

Is the Wuthering Waves Battle Pass Worth It?

Again, the answer to this will depend on what you want on your Wuthering Waves account. If you’re looking to secure a weapon for your favorite Resonator, then unlocking the Insider Channel may well be worth your money.

However, do take note that all of the other rewards on the battle pass can be farmed in-game for free. It will just take more time to acquire them. If you want to get every character and weapon, then the battle pass will undeniably help with that, though this is a gacha - you're not intended to get everything.

And that’s everything you need to know about the Wuthering Waves battle pass. The perfect next step is to take a look at the current and next Wuthering Waves banner and grab some Wuthering Waves codes for some more freebies.
