XDefiant is an incredibly fast-paced shooter, both in terms of gameplay but also in how fast the meta moves. To stay competitive, you’ll want the best XDefiant loadouts at the ready, complete with a decked-out primary weapon, sidearm, equipment, and the right Faction for the job.

After sinking countless hours into the game already, I’ve done the legwork for you to put together the XDefiant best loadouts that you can make for every weapon class. Be sure to check out the best XDefiant guns right now and stay up to date with the XDefiant meta to stay at the top of the game.

Best XDefiant Loadouts

The best loadouts in XDefiant are:

  • ACR, 686 Magnum, Frag Grenade, and Libertad Faction
  • MP7, 686 Magnum, Sticky Grenade, and Cleaner Faction
  • TAC-50, 93R, Sticky Grenade, and Echelon Faction

As the strongest weapons in the game, these are the best loadouts you can make in XDefiant right now. Assault rifles and SMGs undeniably rule the game right now, though the TAC-50 sniper is a rare exception thanks to its almost broken ability to one-shot kill enemies to the chest and above.

Best Assault Rifle Loadout in XDefiant

The best assault rifle loadout in XDefiant uses the ACR 6.8:

  • Primary Weapon: ACR 6.8
    • Muzzle: Muzzle Brake
    • Barrel: Rapid Fire Barrel
    • Front Rail: Angled Grip
    • Rear Grip: Quick Draw Grip
    • Stock: Precision Stock
  • Secondary Weapon: 686 Magnum
    • Muzzle: Muzzle Booster
    • Grip: Quick Draw Grip
    • Optic: Reflex Sight
  • Device: Frag Grenade
  • Faction: Libertad

The ACR is the most popular assault rifle right now, beating the competition thanks to its incredible versatility. While the M16A4 is capable of killing enemies with just a single burst, it’s harder to use. Likewise, the AK-47 packs a punch but it’s much harder to control. The ACR is the best of both worlds, excelling at close-range and into the mid-ranges.

As for the Faction, the Libertad and Cleaner are your best bet here. With the scrappy playstyle of the ACR, Libertad’s healing is almost too good to turn down since you can quite easily turn the tide of a fight or quickly re-engage. On the other hand, the Cleaner’s burn damage passive ability increases the lethality of the ACR, though it does decrease your effective range further.

Best SMG Loadout in XDefiant

The best SMG loadout in XDefiant is the MP7:

  • Primary Weapon: MP7
    • Muzzle: Barrel Extender
    • Barrel: Rapid Fire Barrel
    • Front Rail: Pistol Grip
    • Magazine: Quick Mag
    • Rear Grip: Quick Draw Grip
  • Secondary Weapon: 686 Magnum
    • Muzzle: Muzzle Booster
    • Grip: Quick Draw Grip
    • Optic: Reflex Sight
  • Device: Sticky Grenade
  • Faction: Cleaner

Looking for a close-range shredder? Then the MP7 is the way to go. Combining the lethality of the Vector with the range of the P90, the MP7 is a dependable SMG with the right setup. The goal of this class is to run around the map, picking enemies off as they spawn. It’s cheap but it’s effective.

Although the Libertad is great for quickly re-engaging and the Echelon works well for picking off unaware enemies, the Cleaner damage passive strikes once again. You’ll get a quicker time-to-kill and the reduced range effectiveness isn’t as noticeable as you will want to be up close and personal anyhow.

Best Sniper Loadout in XDefiant

The best sniper loadout in XDefiant needs the TAC-50:

  • Primary Weapon: TAC-50
    • Muzzle: Light Suppressor
    • Barrel: Lightweight Barrel
    • Optics: Variable Zoom Scope
    • Rear Grip: Quick Draw Grip
    • Stock: Padded Stock
  • Secondary Weapon: 93R
    • Muzzle: Muzzle Booster
    • Grip: Quick Draw Grip
    • Magazine: Quick Mag
    • Stock: Reinforced Stock
    • Optic: Reflex Sight
  • Device: Sticky Grenade
  • Faction: Echelon

Snipers are an interesting beast in XDefiant, as most maps focus more on close-range skirmishes than long sightlines. That’s why, instead of taking your time lining up your shots, the best TAC-50 build turns this sniper into a scrappy rifle. You’ll still reap the rewards of the TAC-50’s beautiful one-hit kill potential to the chest and above, but you’ll be much swifter and mobile. If you can quick-scope well, the TAC easily becomes the best weapon in the game.

Your Faction doesn’t matter quite so much with this class setup, though it’s not worth picking Cleaner for the damage passive on this occasion as the TAC-50 kills enemies immediately anyhow. With that said, Echelon is a fun choice here with the Intel Suit skill to keep track of enemies.

Best LMG Loadout in XDefiant

The best LMG loadout in XDefiant uses the M60:

  • Primary Weapon: M60
    • Muzzle: Muzzle Booster
    • Barrel: Rapid Fire Barrel
    • Front Rail: Angled Grip
    • Rear Grip: Quick Draw Grip
    • Stock: Precision Stock
  • Secondary Weapon: 93R
    • Muzzle: Muzzle Booster
    • Grip: Quick Draw Grip
    • Magazine: Quick Mag
    • Stock: Reinforced Stock
    • Optic: Reflex Sight
  • Device: Sticky Grenade
  • Faction: Phantom/Cleaner

When you think of LMGs, you think of a heavy weapon with massive damage but equally strong recoil. Well, the M60 is only two of those - heavy and absolutely devastating. Considering how much damage the M60 deals, it’s odd how little recoil it has, letting you go all out on further boosting the time-to-kill. Once you’ve put the XDefiant M60 loadout together, you’ll have one of the most powerful weapons in the game, provided you can stay a short distance from SMG players.

The strongest Faction to pair with the M60 is the Phantom as you can place a barricade down and set up shop. Since you can fire through the barrier, it’s perfect for controlling zones in objective-based game modes. If you’d rather stay on the move, then I recommend playing Cleaner instead for the burn passive effect.

Best Marksman Loadout in XDefiant

The best marksman rifle loadout in XDefiant needs the MK 20 SSR:

  • Primary Weapon: MK 20 SSR
    • Muzzle: Muzzle Booster
    • Barrel: Rapid Fire Barrel
    • Front Rail: Angled Grip
    • Optics: Reflex Sight

  • Stock: Padded Stock
  • Secondary Weapon: 93R
    • Muzzle: Muzzle Booster
    • Grip: Quick Draw Grip
    • Magazine: Quick Mag
    • Stock: Reinforced Stock
    • Optic: Reflex Sight
  • Device: Sticky Grenade
  • Faction: Phantom

With only two marksman rifles to choose from, you don’t have a great deal of variety, even more so when both the SVD and the MK 20 SSR perform very similarly. However, the XDefiant MK 20 loadout does come out on top. Able to two-shot enemies, the MK 20 is a surprisingly strong weapon in close to mid-range, so long as you can hit your shots - and fast. That’s why the name of the game with the MK 20 is to increase its rate of fire without ruining its accuracy and control.

Like the M60, the MK 20 is perfect for controlling zones. Because of this, the Phantom is a great choice. Place your barrier in a highly-contested lane and pick off anyone who tries to push. If you’re more aggressive, then Libertad is the better option for you.

Best Shotgun Loadout in XDefiant

The best shotgun loadout in XDefiant is the Double Barrel:

  • Primary Weapon: Double Barrel
    • Barrel: Choke
    • Rear Grip: Quick Draw Grip
  • Secondary Weapon: 686 Magnum
    • Muzzle: Muzzle Booster
    • Grip: Quick Draw Grip
    • Optic: Reflex Sight
  • Device: Sticky Grenade
  • Faction: Libertad

Let’s face it, shotguns aren’t very good in XDefiant. With the extremely limited range of shotguns, you’re best off using an SMG for the added versatility. However, if you’re hell-bent on using a shotgun, then the Double Barrel is surprisingly effective. With almost no attachments to choose from, all you have to do is equip a Choke barrel and Quick Draw Grip and you’ll be dropping enemies like flies. Just keep in mind that you’ve only got two shots before needing to reload. If that bugs you, then use the M870 instead.

For your Faction, I recommend you choose Libertad so that you can heal faster and on-demand since you’ve only got two shots before you’re left vulnerable. Echelon makes a surprisingly strong pairing as well as you can turn almost invisible, which comes in handy to flank or escape.
