For example, in a recent trailer, we see Link fuse a regular stick with a boulder lying on the ground to create a sturdy hammer weapon. Both these items were lying around in the open world, and did not require any meticulous preparation. Fuse will likely play a major role in giving a creative sandbox atmosphere to Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
Tears of the Kingdom is not just a sequel in name only, as this Fuse mechanic is a marvellous innovation to the Breath of the Wild formula. You can activate the Fuse ability by pressing the L button on the top left of your Nintendo Switch controller. The L button seems to be a dedicated button that can be used in multiple states. You can use it while holding a weapon, while aiming with a bow, and even while pointing toward items lying on the ground.
