Fans have made a living out of playing games in really unique ways and Elden Ring is no exception to that rule. This incredible streamer was able to beat one of the game’s tougher bosses with a saxophone controller, showing just how dedicated they are.

Dr. Doot is a streamer who has made a name for himself with these saxophone playthroughs, but seeing him do it with FromSoftware’s RPG is insane. Everyone associated this game with difficulty when using a normal controller, so we can’t imagine how someone would dodge and slash precisely with a saxophone.

Based on the streamer’s post, they were able to beat Messmer the Impaler in Elden Ring without any major summons. The streamer did use a thrusting shield, which seems to be a fan-favorite weapon now, but that’s a weapon players can earn without much issue.

Obviously, Doot isn’t the first person to use a unique controller to beat games, but this is still a really cool accomplishment overall. We’ve seen fans beat Kingdom Hearts with a dance pad before, but that doesn’t make this any less impressive. If anything, we should celebrate both fans for being able to beat these games through unconventional methods, since most of us won’t do that.

Elden Ring is pretty huge right now, as the game has released its highly-anticipated Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. As expected, this is another excellent FromSoftware DLC, since these developers do not half-ass extra content for their games, which is commendable. This will probably be the last piece of content coming to this game, as we assume FromSoftware is already working on their next major project.

Curious fans can pick up Elden Ring now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC. We gave Shadow of the Erdtree a perfect 10 out of 10, calling it the GOAT of expansion packs. If fans want to check out FromSoftware’s earlier work, they can check out the Dark Souls games.
