  • Gaming insider Midori claims that the Kingdom Hearts series is getting proper ports for the Switch 2
  • The insider also claims that Kingdom Hearts 4 will be coming to Switch 2
  • Square Enix wants to make their games readily available for more audiences

It looks like Steam isn’t the only place Kingdom Hearts will have a new home in, as a trusted insider claims this franchise is coming to Switch 2. While the series is technically available on Nintendo Switch, it’s only through cloud gaming, so Square Enix can finally do the series justice on the system’s successor.

Midori, one of the most trusted gaming insiders, claims that the entire Kingdom Hearts series is coming to the Switch 2. Aside from the compilations coming to Steam next month, the Switch 2 will also be home to Kingdom Hearts 4, which has reportedly gone through changes since its reveal trailer.

To this day, fans are still flabbergasted over the series only getting Cloud versions on Switch since these games are mostly remasters from the PS2, PSP, and 3DS. Granted, Kingdom Hearts 3 was made with PS4 in mind, but so was Dragon Quest 11 and that game looks great on Switch.

At the least, PC fans are finally going to get this series on Steam, something plenty of fans have been begging for. Square Enix did bring these titles over to Epic Games, but Steam users are a stubborn bunch and have waited literal years for these ports.

With these games coming to Steam, one can assume that Square Enix has the Steam Deck in mind for the ports. Considering the demand fans had for this game on Switch, we imagine that Square won’t pass on the opportunity to bring these games on Steam Deck. The fact that this handheld is a lot more powerful than Nintendo’s current system should encourage them to prioritize Deck verification.

Fans excited over the Kingdom Hearts series coming to Steam can now wishlist the games, so if you only want to play the classics or skip to the third game, the choice is yours. More logical fans with a PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, or Epic Games account can get those titles in these systems.
