Mortal Kombat 1 wowed players with its first DLC plan, adding grittier heroes like Peacemaker, Omni-Man, and Homelander from Amazon’s The Boys. If the leaked DLC roster for Season 2 is true, the MK series really might be Super Smash Bros. for adults or edgy people.

Gaming leaker interloko (via Insider Gaming) claims that six characters are coming to the fighter as DLC, three of whom are special guests. While fans should take this with a grain of salt, the MK series is notorious for constantly getting leaked, so there’s a decent chance that this is true.

Here are the six DLC fighters supposedly coming to Mortal Kombat 1:

  • Cyrax
  • Sektor
  • Noob Saibot
  • Ghostface
  • Conan the Barbarian
  • T-1000

The guest characters revealed here seem to fit this franchise’s theme of popular characters from horror or action movies. Fans will remember how Mortal Kombat 11 gave them Spawn, Joker, Rambo, Terminator, and RoboCop. While the grittier superheroes from the first DLC season differed from that a bit, this second pass seems to be going back to that formula.

Ghostface from the Scream series is an interesting pick, since this horror icon can be both terrifying and hilarious, depending on the context. Conan the Barbarian fits in this series very well and we imagine that his attacks will be really fun to witness. Finally, the T-1000 is a smart choice, since the original Terminator was already in MK 11, as this villain is arguably more interesting for a fighting game.

Hardcore fans will be glad that there are actually some returning fighters who will make their way to Mortal Kombat 1. Cyrax, Sektor, and Noob Saibot are decent candidates, with the latter being a surprising fan-favorite, even being teased in the most recent MK movie. A new DLC story was already confirmed by Ed Boon and we wouldn’t be surprised if these characters were involved somehow.
