Undawn is a live service survival game where you band together with other survivors to rebuild your home. Over time, your character will grow more powerful, level up and gain access to the best gear. However, an interesting level cap mechanic dictates the server max level in Undawn.
If you've found yourself suddenly unable to level up, you might have hit the server's max level. There are two level caps you need to keep track of. Today we'll look at the max level in Undawn, how you can increase the max level cap, and what's the best time to level up in Undawn.

What is the max level in Undawn?
The max level is essentially a balancing technique employed in the game to ensure that the power gap between players isn't too massive. Each server will have its own maximum level, and you can level your character up to that degree in Undawn by completing the valuable daily EXP missions.
Note that you should not confuse the server-level cap with your homestead-level cap; they will also be displayed separately in the character menu. To check this, simply click on your level at the top left of your screen and click on the "i" icon next to your EXP.
You must level up your Homestead to increase your character's Homestead level cap. However, if the server level cap is lower than the Homestead level cap or vice versa, you cannot level up any further.
How to increase max level in Undawn?
There is no direct way to increase the server level cap in Undawn. The server max level is slowly raised over time and is incremented at every daily reset. However, the latest level can be limited to the early players, and you should try to level up as soon as the server is reset. You can farm tonnes of EXP by completing the available daily missions.
You can also check out your max server level cap from the top left on the Daily Events screen. Be resourceful with your EXP, and try not to waste it if you've already hit your level cap. The same logic also applies to equipment that requires higher levels.
For example, if you have a piece of gear that requires level 45 but your server level cap is still stuck at 40, you should wait a while before using up those resources.
