During Take-Two Interactive's latest quarterly report, they've just confirmed that Obsidian Entertainment's The Outer Worlds has now reached four million sales.
Alongside news of a new Take-Two franchise being unveiled later this month and Grand Theft Auto V reaching a new sales milestone, Obsidian's 2019 RPG is still doing the business. That's despite being a day one Game Pass release and builds upon May's figures of 3 million.
The Outer Worlds Surpasses 4 Million Units Sold
It's had quite the journey in these last two years, initially launching for PS4, Xbox One and PC. While Obsidian Entertainment was acquired into Xbox Game Studios mid-development, The Outer Worlds was still published by Take Two's Private Division label, though Microsoft are handling the upcoming sequel.
We've also seen two DLC follow-ups - Peril On Gorgon and Murder on Eridanos - alongside a Switch release, meaning Obsidian's kept themselves pretty busy. While we've not seen much about The Outer Worlds 2 just yet, we'll keep you informed as we learn more.
